1. Introduction
By using our services or booking transport/tours with Travel with Maalaka, you agree to these terms. Please read carefully to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience in Sri Lanka.
2. Services Provided
We specialize in providing private transport solutions to make your journey comfortable and stress-free. Please note the scope of our services:
- We offer private transport only: This includes a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle with a professional driver.
- We do NOT provide, book, or arrange accommodation, meals, entrance tickets to parks/temples, additional guide services (unless explicitly agreed), activities, or any other charges.
- All hotels, food, entry fees, extra activities, and personal expenses are the sole responsibility of the client and must be paid directly by the client.
- Driver's tip is not included in the tour price and is entirely at the discretion of the client.
3. Booking & Payment
Our payment process is designed to be flexible and secure.
- No advance deposit required unless specially agreed upon otherwise. Payment is generally made upon arrival or during the tour.
- For tours longer than 5 days: 50% of the total price must be paid on the first day of the journey. The remaining 50% must be paid on the 5th day.
- For tours of 5 days or shorter: Full 100% payment must be made on the first day of the journey.
- Payments accepted in cash (preferred), bank transfer, or as mutually agreed.
- Prices include only the vehicle, driver, fuel, and driver's expenses. Driver's tip is not included.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
We understand that plans can change. Cancellations must be notified in writing (via WhatsApp or email) as soon as possible.
- Once tour has started (client has arrived and the journey has begun): No refunds will be issued for early termination, unused days, or remaining services.
5. Changes to Itinerary
We aim to follow the agreed plan strictly. However, we reserve the right to make necessary changes to the itinerary due to weather, road conditions, safety concerns, or other unavoidable circumstances. We will inform you as soon as possible and suggest suitable alternatives.
6. Liability & Disclaimer
Travel with Maalaka acts only as a provider of transport services. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or availability of accommodation, meals, entry fees, or any third-party services arranged by the client.
We are not liable for any loss, injury, damage, delay, or inconvenience caused by force majeure, including natural disasters, strikes, government restrictions, pandemics, or other events beyond our control.
Clients are strongly advised to purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, trip cancellation, and personal belongings before arriving in Sri Lanka.
7. Client Responsibilities
To ensure a successful trip, we ask clients to:
- Provide accurate information about travel dates, group size, and any special needs (medical or mobility) in advance.
- Follow local laws, respect Sri Lankan culture and customs, and behave responsibly during the tour.
